“Gravity”:
At the heart of my painting is the work of Michelangelo, who depicts David in a moment of triumph over the giant Goliath. The young man is preparing to fight his overwhelming enemy. He is calm and focused, but his muscles are tense. It is a thought-provoking work in which David symbolizes a man’s struggle with himself during a pandemic.
