Ivan Turetskyy was born in 1956 in Krasnoyarsk (Russia) in the family of politically repressed by Soviet regime. He studied in the Art College named after Ivan Trush in Lviv and later in 1982 graduated from Lviv State Institute of Art. Currently he lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine. Ivan Turetskyy is co-authored a National Emblem of Ukraine and author of the current National Emblem of Lviv.The works of Ivan Turetskyy also include stamps for the Post of Ukraine, projects of collection envelopes and postmarks for the Ukrainian Society of Philatelists of Austria, projects for the series of collection coins of the Bank of Belarus. He designed various signs of distinction and awards. He is an author of the idea and projects for decks of cards for the Austrian company Piatnik. His works are in numerous collections of Ukrainian museums and private collections in Europe, Asia and the USA.
