About technique of artwork: For the last 5 years the artist has been working on a machine which can perform complex weaves. For example, if in folk handicraft weaving used 8, maximum – 12 straps, then I can use up to 30 straps on my machine.
“The pics of machine is attched – I hope the pictures give an idea of its very structure. By the way, I did all the work himself, including the designing and projection. I do not know how about other countries, but in Ukraine there is no such thing. However, straps with scissors to which metal weights are suspended are common in the Scandinavian countries. But combining handicraft weaving with jacquard in one machine is my “know-how”. Craft weaving is a time-consuming and time-consuming occupation and few people want to do it.” VASYL ANDRIYSHKO
