ABOUT ARTIST: IGOR BILYKIVSKY
Was born on April 22, 1953 in Lviv; studied in the studios of fine arts in Lviv. He began his career in school. Independently mastered graphic techniques such as lithography and etching. In the late 90’s of the twentieth century, the first lithographic works he sent to prestigious international exhibitions were highly praised by the jury.
He received his first award in the technique of lithography for an ex-libris dedicated to the Independence Day of Lithuania at the international exhibition in Vilnius in 1997.
In 1999 at the International Ex Libris Center in Sint Niklaas (Belgium) he received the highest award – the prize of Sint Niklaas in the technique of lithography for ex libris, dedicated to Stanislav Lem. He has participated in many international exhibitions of small-format graphics around the world. Significant were the awards in Beijing, Warsaw, Gdansk, Brest, Quebec, etc.
In 2018 he took part in the first international exhibition-triennial of graphics of small forms “Intaglio” in Kiev. I also work in the technique of hand graphics. I often experiment using traditional and modern means of painting and graphics. Live and work in Lviv.
