Liudmila Davydenko “Outside 1”

2020; canvas, oil; 100×150 cm.

2020 is a year of reflection and rethinking of values. Images or plots of associative works woven from thousands of lines of thought – a story about experiences and personal stories of new experiences. Experience of self-isolation and life in the “quarantine” mode. The attraction to others, to what is “not available”, to the forbidden is undoubtedly the focus of these experiences.
The attraction of going “outside”: the view from the window freezes in the desire to be on the other side of the glass. The attraction of intimacy and communication with others: to be heard, accepted, by those around; be closer to those who are expensive, or to those who are “out of reach.”
New experience – new rules of the game that change the world around forever.
